Dubai Tourist Destinations
Things To Do In Dubai Today
In this blog let me put up in short some of the must see places in Dubai. These are tourist destinations not to be missed in Dubai. I have got the best tourist destinations for all travelers planning a Dubai holiday.
Dubai is a never ending city which has many things to do in millions offering and catering all likes and interests of each individual. Today I write this blog while I am just returning back to my hotel after having had a wonderful day full of experiences. I would be happy to share my moments of the things I did today which will surely benefit all of my readers to have the best of their hit list in Dubai.
Sheikh Zayed Road
The busiest and wanted highway in the Middle East. Anything you do as to pass by this Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The best way I advise you to see is to take the Dubai Metro. It’s cheap less than 12 AED from the Mall of Emirates station to the Al Ghubaiba station to the old city of Dubai.
The view is amazing and I was able to see most of the people recording the train journey from the windows. I was one too in the list, so try to go to the last cabin to see the best.
Burj Al Arab
One of the iconic landmarks of Dubai and the only seven-star luxurious hotel in Dubai. You can take your best photographs of it from Al Sufouh road and you also have a beach there where you can relax facing the Burj al Arab. Staying over here is very expensive but I visited the Skyview Bar at the top of the Burj al Arab with a great view which cost me approximately around 650 AED for an afternoon tea.
Make sure you book ahead as they do not welcome direct walk-in guests.
When you say Dubai, the first thing is to visit the tallest building in the world and the busiest in downtown. Never miss it. Make sure you click some photos with it in the background. Make your way to the top of the Burj Khalifa to see the city and experience the magnificent view from the observation deck. It will cost approximately between 150 AED to 250 AED depending on your time slots.
The Dubai Mall
Next hop on to the Dubai mall which is next to the Burj Khalifa. This is considered as the world’s largest mall, even a full day is not enough here. You can find all the brands of the world under this one roof and do some valuable shopping here with some fun window shopping.
Not only this, Dubai mall also has a giant Aquarium which you can view from the outside for free and also if you would like especially with kids then visit the underwater zoo and into the aquarium which will not cost much just only around 100 AED. Please take a time to visit Underwater Zoo, Ice Rink, and the SEGA Republic.
Dubai Dancing Fountain
Downtown is everything in Dubai. The hub location for tourists. Just outside the Dubai Mall, you can see the Middle East Bellagio water dancing for you. This is for free too, so do not miss this and you can see it from your very own eyes how much of the people visit no matter a tourist or resident, they love to see this.
You also have some restaurants closer to the Dubai Fountain where you can be able to sip a coffee or some snacks and enjoy the dancing fountain show.
This is Dubai’s most visited place by tourists. The Man-made island in the palm-shaped surprises all tourists. Today this is a place for many hotels. The best ways to see this is via the Palm Monorail, a helicopter ride or try a Sky Dive.
I took the monorail which is only 15 AED one way, to enjoy a great view of the palm. You can take wonderful pictures of the Atlantis Hotel and also visit the lost chambers aquarium and the Aquaventure waterpark if you have time. Atlantis also offers The Avenues for Shopping and many restaurants for you.
Today there are many hotels in the Palm Jumeirah like Zabeel Saray, Rixos, Anantara, Viceroy, and many others but Atlantis stands out for its architectural building.
This is a one of a lifetime activity. So in case you are dreaming of a helicopter ride please try it. As it is very affordable ranging from 800 AED to 1100 AED for around 15 – 20 mins to see the entire Dubai from top inclusive of the Burj Khalifa, Burj al Arab, World Islands, The Palm from the top and the entire city. You also have a Heli desk at the Atlantis to try a ride.
Atlantis – The Palm
A popular place visited by tourists to take photographs in front of Atlantis which is known for its architecture. You also have a water park named Aquaventure, the lost chambers aquarium, the dolphin bay and some great restaurants.
A major landmark visited even by non-Muslims for its eye cooling structure. Please be mindful of wearing something long as shorts and sleeveless will not be allowed. Women kindly cover your head with a scarf.
Jumeirah Beaches and Parks
There are many famous beaches and parks in Dubai. Jumeirah Beach at Dubai Marina is a hot spot everyone loves to visits to get a relaxing dip. I call it the Baywatch beach of Middle East. So much of people, bikinis, bars, restaurants, activities, yachts and many others surrounded by great skyscrapers will make your sunbath more enjoyable at Dubai Marina. Never miss beach fun in Dubai.
Wild Wadi Waterpark
Apart from the Aquaventure in Atlantis, the wild wadi is famous in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. This is known to be the first water park in Dubai with the most adventurous and exciting water slides and rides.
This is where the people get active at night. An area famous for its lights, building and water sports. Make sure to take a walk down the Marina walk and try the yachts.
Mall of the Emirates
This is another famous mall in Dubai. Not only for shopping Mall of the Emirates is famous for Cinemas, Ski Dubai, Magic Planet, food court and Carrefour.
Ever thought snow is possible in the Middle East. Dubai makes it possible and brings Ski to reality. This is at the Mall of the Emirates where you can also do some shopping and is the second famous mall in Dubai.
Ski Dubai is full of fun playing in the snow and tickets range from 300 AED to 500 AED. You also have Penguins for sightseeing here.
Enjoy your food floating on the boat with some entertainment. Get a relaxing journey.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
At the Madinat Jumeirah. It’s the best place to see the souks arrayed around. A place to feel the culture. You also have some restaurants available here and a lake view with a boat ride.
The best place to see a dolphin show. It’s affordable and a fun living place for children. Please do not miss it.
Dubai Miracle Garden
In the middle of the desert, Dubai showcases a magnificent Garden of flowers. This is also a world record and holds the largest collection of flowers in the world. Open only during winter seasons. Visit Miracle Garden to see how innovative flowers can be displayed.
Dubai brings the entire world in one playground. Shops, entertainments, games, rides, food stalls, music, shows, shopping, heritage, meet all nationalities and explore the globe here. Open during winter don’t forget to try the giant wheel.
Dubai Museum, Heritage and Diving Village
These are the must visit places to explore the Dubai heritage values. Get to know the UAE history, traditions, and their arts and crafts.
Al Bastakiya Village Dubai
This is also known as the Bastakiya quarter. This is the old city of Dubai in the Al Fahidi District, the area is between the Al Fahidi and Dubai Creek. This gives the feel of the old Dubai from the old residential houses, traditional narrow lanes, and here you have great places of Heritage like the Dubai Museum, wind-towered buildings, art galleries, cafes, and a fishing village neighborhood once upon a time.
Some great street foods are also available for you to taste here.
This is the lake between Bur Dubai and Deira, the success of Dubai where they never forgot their history and forefathers. Please take a ride in the wooden Abra boat where it crosses you via the river to the other side of the souks. This is just only 1 AED and such a relaxing journey in a small wooden boat. I basically loved it.
The best transportation I ever had.
The abra boat lands you here. Name the souk and you find it here. The best place for bargaining shopping. So make sure you try your best to reduce the price as much as you can. Never buy it immediately. You have the Gold Souk for all jewels, you have the spice souk to explore all spices of the world and lastly the shopping souk bazaar from shoes to clothes to perfumes all to buy for cheap.
One thing I noticed is that you can find all the duplicate world brands here, no matter it is Gucci, Rayban or Armani, Deira has the replica for you. Actually, it’s almost the same as the original.
Make sure to visit the Gold souk to see the city of gold. You can find the cheap and best gold in the world here.
Dubai Desert Safari
Lastly to end up my day I booked for an evening overnight desert safari. Just away from the city, the safari marshal drove us for some exciting dune bashing and camel ride. Falcons were a first time see for me and the sand boarding also interesting. The quad bike was also real fun but it’s not including the tour package.
Some moments with Arab local attire and the night was full of entertainment with Shisha, a BBQ buffet dinner, belly dancing and the Tanoura dance. We stayed overnight in the camp and with Arabic breakfast, the sunrise was worth a million.
Please make sure that you do not miss any of these tourist destinations on your visit to Dubai.
