How to reach Yas Island?
Spend approximately half an hour on a drive from Abu Dhabi City to Yas Island and you will be met with a world of possibilities to keep you entertained for more than a day. This man-made island is strewn with developments that either obtain world records or showcase splendid architecture and craftsmanship. Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi
One such structure is the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, a hotel of amphibian nature because it is located half on an island and a half above the water. It is also the first and only hotel in the world to be built over an F1 Race Circuit.
Yas Marina Circuit the yearly host is Etihad Airways Grand Prix and offer visitors with many package options to enjoy the race tracks. Head over to the Yas Marina to admire the many luxurious Yachts docked on the jetty.
If you like to go for a splurge then visit the Cipriani restaurant for some delicious Italian favorites while enjoying the view of the Marina.
Ferrari World The Park Yas Island
If you are so excited to get some thrill, Yas Island has got you covered with the Ferrari World. This is the first Ferrari branded theme park and offers its visitors with a Ferrari experience like no other place.
Presents to more than 20 rides, the Formula Rossa is the most renowned because of its record of being the world’s fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 239 km/h (149 mph). You can enjoy simulated 3D rides, go on a tour of mini Italy onboard a Ferrari California spider or let the kiddos race it out in the Junior Grand Prix. Whatever you plan on doing, Ferrari world will keep everyone occupied.
Yas Water World Yas Island
If you wish to enjoy more of Yas Island and would like to get wet, the Yas Water World will be your ideal stop. Visitors won’t be bored and thanks to the 45 slides, attractions, and rides which 5 of them are the world’s firsts.
You can cruise down the world’s first HydroMagnetic Powered Tornado Water Slide for a group thrill or go with a Water Roller Coaster. If you like to give it a try for surfing experience, try the world’s largest Sheet Wave while the Water Park has also played host to the World Flow boarding since 2013. Visitors will have a thrill throwing a water balloon at The Onlookers and enjoy the interactive experience.
Built around the theme of ‘The Legend of the Lost Pearl’ to pays tribute to the Emirati heritage of Pearl Diving and here allows you to carry your souvenir home.
If you just want to chill and relax with the sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves, head to Yas Beach. Admission will include a towel and a sun bed at costs AED 50 for adults and AED 25 for kids aged between 8 to 16-year-old on weekdays. The admission costs on weekend are AED 100 for adults and AED 50 for kids. Children below the age of 8 years old will have a complimentary admission.
Every Saturday ladies are charged for half of the price. So, plan a picnic and head to Yas Beach to enjoy the cooling breeze and a gorgeous view of the sea.
Yas Island is open for visitors 24 hours a day. The attractions in Yas Island have specific opening times which are:
- Yas Beach is open every day from 10:00 AM to 07:00 PM
- Yas Ferrari World is open daily from 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM
- Yas Waterworld is open daily from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM
